HISTORY
In the
late 1950's, Warren McNely and a partner formed a general contracting
business in Oakland. The two embarked on a successful venture concentrating
on the concrete tilt-up market. The business soon expanded into other
types of new construction as well as the renovation and rehabilitation
market, which opened the door to new business opportunities. In 1970
they relocated to San Leandro, occupying one of their completed buildings.
The mid-1980s brought a new era with the partner's retirement. McNely
Construction Company was launched, continuing the tradition of quality
construction projects and developments.
In 1994
Claire McNely Koenig and Daniel McNely took the reins and the second
generation of family ownership began. The current owners pride themselves
on honoring the past and its successes while looking to the future
and its challenges and opportunities. Technological advances have
changed the face of the construction industry, but McNely's core values
remain unchanged.
